Would you like to attend Puppet Power 2016 but don’t have all the funds in place? Whether you are a student, artist, in a low wage occupation, travelling from outside of Calgary, or any other reason preventing you from attending, we would like to extend the opportunity for you to attend.
Bursaries/Scholarships valued at $75 per day (or $150 for full weekend registration) are available to attend the Puppet Power 2016 :: Connecting Generations Conference, May 28th and 29th. Bursaries are not available for half day registration.
Bursary/Scholarship applications can be sent at any time up until the conference, however, there is a limited number of bursaries available and will be based on a first come – first served basis. Successful applicants will be notified 7 days after they have sent their application where they will be given instructions for registering.
In order for you to qualify for the bursary, you are asked to provide the following:
- Name, email, mailing address, phone number, any social media addresses (Facebook, twitter, LinkedIn, etc)
- A one-page letter or email, detailing how you would use the knowledge gained at the conference in your work or life
- An explanation of your requirement for a bursary. For example, you may be a student, senior, in a minimum wage occupation, or might be travelling from outside of Calgary.
Also, following the conference you would be asked to submit
- A one page reflection on the conference for our website, grant reports or anywhere we feel it may be useful. Your permission to do this is inferred in your bursary application.
Applications will be reviewed by the Conference committee and can be sent via email to email@example.com or by mail to:
