We doing 2 workshops for 2 different ages groups Preregistration required.
Sharing My Crayons
Date: Saturday, September 9, 2023
Time: 10:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Cost: Free
Ages: 6-9 years
Inspired by the short poem “Sharing My Crayons”, participants will make a colourful paper and cloth rod puppet. This basic puppet style has lots of expressive movement and is easy to make with a step-by-step creation process. Fun puppet improv games round out the workshop, as we think about what friendship really means.
If You Could Wear My Sneakers

Time: 1:00 p.m. – 2:30 p.m.

Ages: 10-12 yearsIn the spirit of friendship and understanding, participants will make a self portrait puppet face for their shoe and act out this fun poem by Sheree Fitch. They will consider what makes themselves unique and what they share with others. Wendy will pass along some paper sculpture techniques and a bit of math when reviewing face proportions, as well as puppet animation tips.
