Bakster and Bird screening, Family Day, Feb 20, of our new-film – about a mouse determined to fly & a bird who becomes his biggest supporter

We will be offering two video screenings at this world premiere! The first show will run from 11:00-1:00pm and the second show will run from 2:00pm-4:00pm.

Bakster and Bird is the story of two surprising friends – a bird named Bird who has lost her song, and Bakster, a philosophical mouse who dreams of flying! After many thwarted plans and close calls, they discover they can attain their dreams and find their true selves by helping one another. With endearing characters, intriguing contraptions, original music and a thoughtful theme, this beautiful video production engages children and adults alike.

Be part of the first audience to watch Bakster and Bird live on the big screen, followed by a Q&A with Wendy Passmore-Godfrey, artistic director of WP Puppet Theatre and creator of the show. There will also be take-home puppet making activities and stations throughout the theatre for you and your family to enjoy after the film.

Grab a cup of hot chocolate and a sweet treat as you delve into the world of puppetry and film with our artists, travel into the wonderful world of invention and creation with our onsite inventors and transform yourself into a mouse or a bird through the magical talent of our face painter.
