Call for Short Talks for our INTERMISSIONS – Deadline extended to October 6th 2023
W.P. Puppet Theatre Society is inviting applications from puppetry practitioners, researchers, scholars, and theorists to speak for a short 7-10 minutes at our online “Intermissions” sessions. Intermissions feature idea exchange, audience conversation and a call to action, sparked by invited speakers.
Part of our Festival of Ideas 2023 which is exploring how can puppets, ‘metaphors of matter’, help us address our Material World?

We thank everyone for their submissions.
- Shortlisted submissions will be contacted by mid-October or earlier.
- Speakers will receive a small honorarium ($50 CAN) and free tickets to the festival.
- Speakers need to be adept at speaking on Zoom platform and using slide decks or power-points
- Sessions will be recorded; you’ll receive a media release form to sign.
- We are offering Intermissions in three time zones – please select your preferred times.
