The City of Calgary has joined other cities around the world proclaiming this coming Wednesday, World Puppetry Day. The charge to proclaim a civic-wide day to celebrate puppetry was led by WP Puppet Theatre.

Wendy Passmore-Godfrey started WP in Calgary over 25 years ago and she’s devoted her career to puppetry and this event helps in the lead-up to a puppetry conference this coming June, also in Calgary. (For groups in Alberta looking to part of the conference, Puppet Power, there’s early bird registration happening until March 31st.)
