Cat & Mouse Puppet Plan
Our Cat & Mouse Puppet Plan teaches sewing skills, fabric art and fun! It can be adapted to virtually any animals. Cats and mice are not normally friends; however, you can find stories where this pairing has led to positive friendships. In Aesops fable, the Lion and the Mouse, a ferocious lion and cowering mouse come to help each other and demonstrate how no kindness is too small.
Our puppet lesson plans are designed to integrate art, drama and English Language Arts. All of our puppets are created from basic supplies and everyday items found around the house so they are accessible for everyone.
In our lessons we like to include a link to a picture book or video that provides a ‘hook’ for introducing the topic and creating interest in the students. We also include colourful photos, step by step instructions for making the puppet, tips for puppeteers when animating their puppet, and ideas for dramatic play and story starters.
