My Brilliant Idea Puppet Plan

My Brilliant Idea Puppet plan teaches how to make basic shapes with paper and basic paper folding techniques. Once you have made all the pieces you can attach them in any way you would like to create your Brilliant Idea Puppet.

What do you do with an idea that might be different, daring or just a little bit wild?  Do you hide it, ignore it or pretend it is not yours? Or do you welcome that idea and let it grow into something wonderful?  This story is for anyone, at any age, who’s ever had an idea that seemed a bit too big or a bit too crazy! We got the inspiration for this puppet after reading the engaging “What do You do with an Idea” by Kobi Yamada

My Brilliant Idea Lesson plan front pageOur puppet lesson plans are designed to integrate art, drama and English Language Arts. All our puppets are made with materials found around the house so they are accessible for everyone.

In our lessons, we like to include a link to a picture book or video that provides a ‘hook’ for introducing the topic and creating interest in the students. Each lesson includes photos, step-by-step instructions, tips for puppeteers, dramatic play ideas and story starters, as well as general curriculum links for teachers.
