Description
Noisy Puppet Project
Is it a little quiet around the house? Find a container, fill it with anything and decorate! Now you have your own noise making puppet to use for any kind of celebration. This Noisy Puppet was inspired by the Acadian Tradition of Tintamarre.
Our puppet lesson plans are designed to integrate art, drama and English Language Arts. A teacher can also use the Tintamarre puppet to connect to Social Studies and the study of the Acadian Culture in Eastern Canada. All of our puppets are created from basic supplies and everyday items found around the house so they are accessible for everyone.
In our lessons we like to include a link to a picture book or video that provides a ‘hook’ for introducing the topic and creating interest in the students. We also include step by step instructions for making the puppet, tips for puppeteers when animating their puppet, and ideas for dramatic play and story starters. General curriculum links are also listed.
