Puppetry and Television – by Robert Tilroe was published in 1981 is of interest from a historic and vintage aspect and has some good basic production information.

Who was Robert Tilroe?  Robert creatively lived his life as a teacher, professional dancer, TV producer, puppeteer (Frog Print Theatre), college professor, magician, and non-fiction writer.  With his wife Nikki Tilroe  they worked in both live and TV puppetry in Canada and the United States.
