IN PERSON WORKSHOPS
WP Puppet Theatre’s puppetry based in person workshops and residencies present a wide range of opportunities to link to both specific learning objectives and to 21st century learning skills. Our goal is to support classroom learning, inspire students to be creators, performers and makers, and be a resource for both teachers and students.
Also available for community events! 
Puppetry is an umbrella for literary, visual and dramatic art forms. A workshop can be a scaffold to further learning and support development of the following competencies:

Emotional Colours (A Courage Journey Program*)
Exploring different emotions and how they make you feel. Based on The Color Monster and Zones of Regulation. K-Gr 2
Diverse World (A Courage Journey Program*)
Expressing global communities and cultural/ societal diversity. Gr 3-4
When Stuff is Shadowy (A Courage Journey Program*)
When we’re angry and unsure about how to appropriately express ourselves and when things aren’t clear, stuff is shadowy. Gr 3-4

Dualities in Self Awareness (A Courage Journey Program*)
Exploring the dualities or multiple facets of who you are. Gr 5-6
- Available in Calgary and area
- Includes all supplies, tools
- Includes teacher resources curriculum links, scaffolding suggestions, pre and post assessment tools.
- Maximum class size ~ 30 students

Use the power of puppetry to promote awareness and discussion of mental health and wellness. These workshops support social – emotional learning in diverse groups of students as well as help to develop community, foster resiliency and gain a voice for participant’s stories
