Bakster and Bird Program is a 45 minute movie PLUS 15 hours of puppet making activities with full instructions, discussion questions and extensions and other learning prompts.

Everything is available with on demand delivery over 7 episodes.

The movie itself is the story of two surprising friends – a bird named Bird who has lost her song and Bakster, a philosophical mouse who dreams of flying!
After many thwarted plans and close calls, they discover they can attain their dreams and find their true selves by helping one another. With endearing characters, intriguing contraptions, original music and a thoughtful theme, this beautiful video production and program engages children and adults alike.

The VIEW Facilitator Training Course (VFTC) was developed to help professionals and teach them how to deliver the VIEW program. The ideal candidate for this course works in the fields of Therapeutic Recreation, Art Therapy, Drama Therapy, Play Therapy, Education, Nursing, Social Work, or Psychology.

The process of building a self-portrait puppet highlights the healing potential of creative practice, fosters a greater sense of community and promotes empathy and understanding across diverse groups of people.

You do not require extensive art experience to lead the course, only a willingness to explore your own creative abilities and support your clients in developing their expressive voice. Some technical expertise is required for online facilitation.

These on-demand learning activities feature videos that are inspirational and engaging. Following up with international expert presenters at our Puppet Power Conferences, we explore with discussion questions, written tasks, and extension activities.
